2. Can I sign up someone else?
a. No!
TOP
a. Because.

a. Knowingly submitting a telephone number or email address other than your own may violate federal or state privacy, fraud, harassment, telephone consumer protection laws. Any legal action that results from submitting a third party's number without their prior consent will fall to the person(s) who submitted the information.
b. In other words, we appreciate you wanting to share this great and innovative resource with your friends and family, but you'll help us (and you) avoid any legal complications by just directing them to the Web site and having them sign up themselves.
c. (Besides, how annoying would it be if you found out someone signed you up for something you didn't want to sign up for in the first place?)

5. Do I have to have a cell phone to get 411God?
a. Nope. 411God is also available through E-mail. Just fill in your E-mail address on the sign-up page in the field marked "E-mail" (duh!) and you're on your way. It may take one or two days for your request to be processed.
b. And it wouldn't hurt to check your spam filters if you don't start receiving the 411God E-mails within a week.

6. Why are my calls/text messages arriving at the wrong time(s)?
a. Be aware that all times listed on the sign-up page are Eastern Time Zone. If you live on the east coast, you're golden, but if you live in a different time zone, adjust your call time accordingly. E.G. You live in sunny California and you want your 411God call to come at 5:00 pm. Set your call time for 8:00 pm because the eastern time zone is 3 hours ahead of the pacific time zone.
b. Also, be aware that there are two settings for time preferences - one for weekdays, one for weekends. Make sure you choose the appropriate times for both settings.
c. At least 24 hours will pass before you receive your first 411God call. Because there are likely to be many 411God calls going out at the same time your 411God call is going out, allow 10-15 minutes after the hour you chose before you start getting worried.

7. How do I change my preferences?

b. Long answer: Sign-up again with your new preferences. Please.

8. I signed up through a text message. How do I change my times/preferences?
a. Well, you can’t do it by text. Go to “contact us” on the website and tell us what you want. We’ll fix you up
TOP
a. Can’t imagine that you’d want to unsubscribe, but if you do: a) go to the website, “contact us” and let us know; OR b) go to “my account” fill out the information exactly as it is in your subscription and click “unsubscribe”

10. On the signup form, what does "group" mean?
a. The group category helps us keep track of who's using 411God and how they found us. From the list, pick the group you are associated with. E.G. If you heard us at a Youth for Christ rally, select Youth for Christ. If none of the available groups match, choose "other".

a. 411God is brought to you by the generous support of donors with a heart for reaching people with the truths found in the Word of God. If you are interested in donating so that others can receive 411God, keep your eye on this space. We're working on some ways right now to let people donate over the web. a. I'm insulted you'd even ask! Who doesn't have a Facebook? My grandma has a Facebook! (Well, not really, it's just a photo album with a bunch of old portraits, and when you ask her about them, she'll spend the next thirty minutes telling you their life story)
b. Just upload the 411GOD application on your Facebook page and you’re good-to-go!

15. Why is there silence after I answer the phone?
a. 411God is distributed through an automated message delivery system that is programmed to respond to a voice answer such as, "Hello." Like many voice activated systems, the message will play after a short period of time even if no voice was heard, but will play sooner when you say something. So get creative when your 411God call comes. Some of our favorite answers are, "speak Lord for your servant is listening," and, "begin transmission!"

16. Why don't I always get a voice mail when I don't answer?
a. That's a good question, but unfortunately, not that easy to answer. Suffice to say that there are many reasons why you may not get a voice mail on any particular day. These reasons can be anything from interruptions in your carrier's service to simply being out of range of a cell tower. If you feel like this has been happening to you a lot, please let us know. In many cases, with enough information, the problem can be traced to its source and corrected. As always, if you miss any particular day, you can always catch up on our archives here at 411God.net.

17. What if I don't want to receive calls on the weekends?
a. On the sign-up form, in weekend call drop-down box, select, "Don't call on weekends." Remember, if you're making a change to your schedule, enter the rest of your info on the form. Otherwise, we won't know that it's you who doesn't want a call on the weekend.
